3 Held in Drugstore Robbery

Encino Rite Aid robbed at about 10 p.m. Monday, police report.

Authorities are holding three suspects after a heist at an Encino Rite Aid Pharmacy on Monday night. The store was being watched by plainclothes LAPD officers because of a high number of drugstore robberies in the area, police said, according to City News Service.

The three were arrested following the robbery at the Rite Aid at 17864 Ventura Blvd. at about 10 p.m., said Lt. Burt Gutierrez of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Station.

Police did not immediately disclose how the robbery was carried out or release the suspects' names.
