Berman Visits Hesby Students, Collects Their Holiday Messages to Troops

Congressman speaks at length to students before reading through some of the cards they made.

Rep. Howard L. Berman (D-28th Congressional District), was at in Encino Tuesday to talk to students who had made holiday cards to send to U.S. troops overseas. The cards are going to members of the Delta Company of the 425th Civil Affairs Battalion, who are based out of the Encino Armed Forces Reserve Center and currently deployed in Afghanistan.

After thanking the students for their thoughtful cards, Berman turned the visit into a Q&A session.

The students asked a number of probing questions, including whether the congressman had met President Obama (he has) or pop singer Justin Bieber (he has not).
