Save Los Encinos State Historic Park Task Force

Help the Save Los Encinos Task Force keep the State Historic Park from being closed due to State budget cuts.

Here is a recap of the May meeting:

The Save Los Encinos Task Force meeting last Thursday evening was small but productive. Michael reported on his trip to the California League of Parks Convention saying in short: There are many vibrant cooperative groups out there working on our same problems. Encino needs to take the Duck Park under its collective wing.

LEDA has filed for a Capacity Building Grant with the California State Parks Foundation. This grant gives needed structure for the association

Bill and Sumner of The Encino Lawyers Association announced the SpokesDuck Contest gets quacking this weekend. Check the website for more information.

State Parks Interpreter Karma introduced our old new friend, our PAL Ranger Scott. The association will work with Scott as we shape the needs for event planning and docent training.

Docent Book Camp needs volunteers who wish to take it to the next level and learn about our incredible treasures of Los Encinos. We need a docent in the park every weekend. Someone who can greet folks, tell them about our progress, and keep the ducks fat and happy.
