L.A. Times Endorses Berman, Praises Sherman

The Los Angeles Times has endorsed Howard Berman to represent the 30th Congressional District.

The Los Angeles Times endorsed Democratic representative Howard Berman Monday in the 30th Congressional District race against fellow Democratic representative Brad Sherman.

The Times made it a point to credit Sherman for being a strong lawmaker and excellent candidate, but commented that Berman holds the edge in experience, has a wide range of important supporters, and that he agrees with the Times "on a few distinguishing issues."

The problem here is they are both politically pretty much the same guy. The difference is Berman stays in Washington (a la Gary Conditt) while Sherman is constantly backing here talking to his constituency.
