Encino Patch: What is the most important issue in Encino right now?

Jeff Ebenstein: Smart growth and planning. While we want to grow and evolve, we have to do it cautiously. We have to take each project on a case-by-case basis and judge it by its merits.

Patch: What is your favorite spot in Encino?

Ebenstein: Versailles Cuban Restaurant. It's very hard to find healthy and delicious food. Plus, I was called Ricky Ricardo throughout high school, so it brings me back to those days.

Patch: Do you live in Encino?

Ebenstein: I grew up in Tarzana and have lived in this area ever since. I went to Valley Beth Shalom for elementary school and had my bar mitzvah there. And now I work across the street and get to improve the city I live in.

Patch: What is your passion?

Ebenstein: Being able to help people in a large scale and execute large-scale positive change. I've always been fascinated with political science and public policy issues.

Patch: What is your favorite aspect of Encino?

Ebenstein: You're in the second-largest city in the nation, but you feel like you're in a warm, friendly, small town.

Patch: If you could change one aspect of Encino, what would it be?

Ebenstein: Traffic ... which we're working on!
