Senator to Speak to Neighborhood Council

Save the date: 7 p.m. July 27 at the Encino Community Center.

State Sen. Fran Pavley is scheduled to speak at the next Encino Neighborhood Council General Meeting on July 27. Representing the 23rd Senate District, which includes Encino and other parts of the Valley, Pavley is expected to provide an update on district-wide and legislative issues, and take questions from the community.

According to her Communications Director, Deborah Hoffman, Pavley will likely be touching on the following topics:

  • State Parks Closures
  • The state budget
  • Redistricting
  • Legislation, such as her bill to crack down on elder abuse

Michael Crosby of Friends of Los Encinos Park will also appear at the council meeting that night. Crosby will participate in a discussion and brainstorming on ways to save Los Encinos State Historic Park, which is among the state parks on the proposed
