Voters to Get First Look at Assembly District 45 Candidates

When Bob Blumenfield left the California Assembly to join the Los Angeles City Council, he left his 45th District seat up for grabs. Now that he has joined the Council, having been sworn in on Sunday, a special election to fill the seat can take place.

Though the date for the election has not yet been set, per the California Secretary of State's office, the public will get a chance next week to hear from some of the candidates who will run for the office.

The Encino Chamber of Commerce will host a candidates' forum in which it will invite all candidates currently registered with the Secretary of State's office. The event is set to run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Monterey at Encino, 16821 Burbank Blvd., Encino.
