What Will You Do This Carmageddon? Try Voting in the Encino Neighborhood Council Elections!

The polling station will be open 10 a.m until 3 p.m on September 29.

Here's something to do this Carmageddon. While you're avoiding the 405, you could always stay in Encino and vote!

The Encino Neighborhood Council elections are taking place this Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Encino Community Center.

According to Glenn Bailey, an ENC member who currently represents Area 1 of Encino (and who is running again this year), there are 29 candidates running this year, which means that 12 of the seats are contested. In other words, "people have choices," says Bailey.

"We want hundreds and hundreds to participate," said Bailey, adding that 271 people voted in the last election, and that as many as 600 have voted at elections in recent years.

If you are an Encino stakeholder, you are eligible to vote. You need to bring photo ID and proof of your affiliation with Encino to the voting booth. Look at the PDF to the right for a list of acceptable forms of ID and documentation.
