Congressman Brad Sherman Addresses Birmingham High Students

Sherman answers questions about college loans, military academies and foreign policy.

Congressman Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks) addressed some 600 students at Birmingham Community Charter High School Friday and answered a variety of questions ranging from college loans and military service academies to Congressional issues and the upcoming 30th District Congressional Art Competition.

"The Congressman addressed the entire senior class at Birmingham and took a lot of questions from students on education policy and foreign policy,” Leah Nelson, the communications director in Sherman’s office, told Encino Patch.

Birmingham High serves Lake Balboa and parts of Encino. Sherman has visited more than 30 high schools in the San Fernando Valley district and hosted more than 160 similar town hall meetings, Nelson said.
