The school is ranked 746th in the country.

The Daniel Pearl Magnet School in Van Nuys has made the U.S. News & World Report list of top high schools in the nation.

The school is listed at 746th in the list, which also notes that it is above the national average in terms of the "college readiness" of its students. That figure is based on the number of students passing their AP examinations. Schools in the list are measured against a number of other factors, including reading and math test score results and the performance of the school's least-advantaged students.

The Daniel Pearl School is one of 50 LAUSD schools that made the list.
