Donated Turkeys Bring Smiles to Lowman Special Ed Center in North Hollywood

The Lowman Special Ed Center receives a large batch of donated turkeys from Laurence School in Valley Glen.

On Monday, Patch brought you a closer look at Laurence School in Valley Glen as it on Nov. 19 to benefit the Lowman Special Education Center in North Hollywood.

In part two of this story, we follow those turkeys over to Lowman. While there, we met many inspirational teachers and faculty who work everyday to improve the lives of their students.

Laurence and Lowman have been sister schools for 23 years and have multiple events each year to celebrate the connection. On Nov. 5, the for a day of fun and activities. In December, the Laurence students will have a toy drive to benefit the Lowman students.
