Westmark Students Donate Shoes for Needy Children

The Westmark School community teamed up with Soles4Souls, a charity that collects gently worn shoes for those in need.

Throughout the month of April, the third through twelvth graders at collected gently used shoes for Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing shoes for families worldwide.

The local effort, which was spearheaded by the school's community service group, SAVE (Serving and Valuing Earth), resulted in the collection of 502 pairs of shoes.

Soul4Soles has been bringing donated shoes to the hundreds of thousands of victims still grappling in the devastating aftermath of the March 11 earthquake-tsunami in Japan.
