BIG SUNDAY WEEKEND AT THE DOG PARK
Volunteers from the Sepulveda Basin Off Leash Dog Park are teaming up with Big Sunday to host Big Sunday Weekend at the dog park on Saturday- May 5, 2012.
Receive FREE onsite spay/neuter services, microchip and vaccines thru SNP/LA with a $70 voucher from LA Animal Services or $65 cash. Services are by appointment only. Space is limited. From 10am – 4pm there will be Dog Adoptions (6 different rescue groups including, Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS), Best Friends Animal Society and Life 4 Paw), a low cost vaccination clinic and pet licensing at the park. Volunteers will be on hand accepting donations of new/used towels and blankets and unopened cans / bags of dog food for the shelter dogs. Everyone who donates an item will receive an entree to win a door prize! Stop by one of the two craft tables to help make chew toys for a shelter dogs and paper mache flower pots for a nursing home resident.

Join the information series from 1pm – 3pm as guest speakers Jillian Boyd and Russ Avison, Co-Hosts of Atomic Dog Radio and animal trainers, talk about tools and tips for training, dog body language and give an introduction to dog park etiquette. Special Guest speaker, Brenda Barnette, General Manager, Los Angeles Animal Services, will discuss Spay/Neuter, Adoption and Licensing in the city, as well as living with wild life.
Volunteers are gathering earlier in the morning to plant 25 trees and help clean the park and make it shine! The first 75 volunteers to sign up for a 4 hour shift will receive a Big Sunday T-shirt, Free Continental Breakfast, and a chance to win fabulous prizes in our Door Prize / Raffle!!
