Join me in Northridge Tuesday evening for a wine-tasting and pick up a sign!

You're cordially invited to join me for a wine-tasting event on Tuesday night, November 12, at 7:00 p.m. We'll be at Total Wine in Northridge, located at 19336 Nordhoff Street, on the southwest corner of Tampa and Nordhoff, near Best Buy.

We'll have sandwiches, cheese and crackers, a sampling of California wines, and a conversation about the future of California. I'll take questions. You'll get answers!

We're just a week away from the important special election to fill the vacant state Assembly seat in the 45th District, which includes Northridge and Chatsworth (south of Devonshire), Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, West Hills, Hidden Hills, (part of) Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Canoga Park, Reseda and Winnetka.

If you're a registered voter and you live in the 45th District, you can find your polling place at www.lavote.net/locator, where you can also download a copy of the sample ballot booklet.

I'm running for the state Assembly because Sacramento politicians are attacking Proposition 13 and trying to raise property taxes. It is already ruinously expensive to own a house in the Valley. The DWP bills in the summertime are like a human rights violation. We don't need higher property taxes, too.

I'm proud to have the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. My vote in Sacramento will protect Proposition 13. But first, I need YOUR vote on November 19.

So come to the wine-tasting event, where you can pick up a sign or a car magnet along with campaign buttons and post-it notes to hand out to your friends and neighbors. Tell everybody about this important election. Don't lose your home to higher property taxes.
