You're invited tonight: The 1st Annual Passover Bake-off

Come and sample the desserts tonight at the 1st Annual Passover Bake-off, where we're judging in three non-judgmental categories: "Cake Mix," "From Scratch," and "Store Bought."

To enter, just bring a dessert in any or all of those categories (you can enter one dessert in each). The Passover Bake-off is kosher-style: the ingredients should be kosher for Passover, but if you didn't change all your dishes, you're still eligible to win.

This is a great time to try something new or revisit an old family tradition. I'll be making the old family recipe my mom made for me when I was little -- Manischewitz marble cake from a mix.

There will be trophies and ribbons for the winning chefs (or shoppers) and we'll also have a drawing for prizes. Everyone is welcome. Bring the kids, we have a dozen boxes of Barton's milk chocolate lollipops. Mmmmm.

And we're having a photo contest! We'll have a prize for the oldest photo of a family seder. (Please bring copies,  not originals, to this sticky-fingered event.)
