Tarzana resident Charlie Delle Donne is honored with the Sam Saltsman Award.

Despite temperatures over 100 degrees at the time of the noon shotgun start, 130 golfers participated Thursday in the 28th Annual Anti-Defamation League Golf Tournament at the El Caballero Country Club.

Tarzana resident Charlie Delle Donne is the first recipient of the Sam Saltsman Award, named in memory of Sam Saltsman, a longtime member of the Anti-Defamation League and a supporter of the annual golf tournament. Fellow ADL members describe Dell Donne as kind, generous, philanthropic and a wonderful mentor.

All proceeds from the tournament will support activities and programs of the Anti-Defamation League, one of the nation’s most prominent civil rights and human relations organizations.
