Robin Kellogg is Your Writing Resource!

Judy Santos, Managing Director of OfficeSlice,  recently interviewed Robin Kellogg about her love of writing.

Are you doing what you did as a kid?  Robin Kellogg is!  She has been a writer since she was six years old, and she still loves it! Robin loves everything about writing.  Her business revolves around writing and creating copy for websites, marketing materials, brochures, articles and more.  Robin began Robin Kellogg Associates in 2000 to help small businesses and midsize companies with their marketing.

Robin, who stuttered as a child, began writing as a way to express herself without having to speak.  She found that she enjoyed expressing herself through writing, and it became a definitive part of who she is.  She writes something every day, either for herself, or for a client, but she is always writing.   Her company is now 14 years old, and Robin acts as the offsite director of communications and marketing for many of her clients.

“I do everything from writing an email blast, website content, articles, brochures, flyers, blogs, newsletters— anything that needs compelling words.”  With the overwhelming amount of content online today, it is really important for your content to be professionally written, compelling and attractive.  Robin can take care of that for you and your company.

What is truly great about her business is that Robin gets to meet and work with a variety of people and businesses.  Every project presents its own set of challenges, and Robin enjoys challenges.

“Being challenged opens up new avenues to me.  If I’ve never done a particular project, it allows me to learn, and sharpen my skills in that area, and then share it with other clients.”

Some of the challenges Robin faces as a solopreneur  is attempting to do everything.  “Let’s face it!  It is impossible to do everything!”  She is currently branching out and pushing the envelope by learning to delegate and hiring people to complete certain tasks.  For example, Robin has hired someone to design her online blog.  “I’m doing the writing, but someone has to do the website and back end.”

As you may have noticed, writing is a passion for Robin and her enthusiasm is contagious.  Robin has run into so many individuals who complain they have started a book, but have never finished it, or have wanted to start one, but feared the end result.  So Robin has created a workshop called “Awaken Your Inner Writer.”  Robin has a group in session of first time writers in helping them stay on track to completing their dream of writing a book.  Each author is working on a different genre, but they are bound together to achieve their goal.  The group meets once a month for accountability, editing, and sharing chapters with each other.  Robin also has a book in the mix, completing a semi-biographical book about her son and his post brain surgery journey and recovery.  How will they celebrate the completion of their books?  With a party of course!

Robin also hosts a bi-monthly accountability writer’s group at OfficeSlice called “Write Now Check-up.”  If you have struggled to finish, or start, your book, screenplay, poetry or blog, this may be the group for you.  Next meeting is on Wednesday November 6.  Each session costs only $15.00, a punch card for 4 sessions is only $55.00.

Being active in the community through various chambers and charity organizations is also a part of Robin’s extracurricular activities.  She also enjoys wine tasting, getting together with friends and socializing, writing for fun, visiting the theatre, comedy clubs, and catching the latest movies.  She is currently reading, Zealot by Reza Aslan.

So, if you are seeking someone to assist you with writing projects, call Robin.  If you want someone to help coach you in completing your writing projects, call Robin.  If you want someone to hold your hand throughout the project, Robin is your gal.  She will give you her undivided attention and make sure that all of her customers’ projects exceed expectations!
