<p>The Fred S. Lull Special Education Center is part of the LAUSD and moved to its current neighborhood location eleven years ago. It derives its name from Fred S. Lull, a principal who worked with the special needs students of Los Angeles for 30 years.</p> <p>The teachers and assistants at Lull serve the needs of approximately 200 disabled students ages 3 through 21 who have a variety of severe disabilities including mental retardation, autism, hearing and vision impairments, emotional and behavior problems.</p> <p>Lull offers language and motor development, self-help, pre academics and prevocational skills to meet the needs of each student. In addition to the basic skills curriculum, there are other programs and opportunities offered such as music art, and gardening.</p>
