I'm sorry that you did not enjoy the entertainment this Scots group provided to you. In the pastRead More when British regimental bands appeared more frequently in SoCal, I would go out of my way to be sure to attend ANY British regimental band or pipe band. It was well worth it for the music, pagentry, and precision. But then I use to be in a local pipe band playing tenor drum (54thSt. Band-now disbanded) and regularly attended the West Coast Highland Games in Orange County, Santa Monica and in the bay area., I couldn't wait until the event time would come around..

Comet is the sperm. Earth is the egg. New organisms grow on earth from fertilization of bacteria andRead More comet dna passengers. Comets brought life to earth. Comets began evolution. Where is the manhood shooting the comets? Thank God I am an atheist.

OK, I think there are plenty of places in Studio City that this film festival could have been heldRead More at... there's that big screen at RAIN disco, there's that place where they shot Magic Mike, there must be a place at CBS Radford Studios and what about that yoga/screening room near Arch Dr. and Ventura??? Maybe there should be a separate Sherman Oaks film festival too, like Sherman Oaks Shorts or somethign like that
maria muse February 9, 2013 at 12:50 pm
But it's in Sherman Oaks. So it's not in Studio City. Why call it that? I don't dig that stuff.
Derek February 11, 2013 at 10:28 pm
should have demanded improvements to the area northeast of universal studios, particularly aroundRead More Vineland between the 101 and 134 freeways in exchange for approval.

These developers are getting smart. Roll out a plan with massive development knowing thatRead More neighborhood councils and other interest groups will oppose it. Then pretend to negotiate by scaling back on the plan that was never going to be in existence anyway. Then the local councils can pat themselves es on the back like the suckers they are. Love it! I say keep it up!
Skraeling February 7, 2013 at 04:07 pm
Great! Now maybe the strip of Cahuenga from Lankershim to Woodrow Wilson will finally be repairedRead More and not merely given a coat of cheap asphalt....that area is a disgrace. Every tourist to LA sees the reality of Los Angeles when they go to the Studios....Sadly,we live with it...

Did hyou do this story because I asked to in the last story about this play? You know, I'm going toRead More go to to this just after opening night. I'm sure I'll blush, but I'll write up something if I like it. Havne't gone to a play since I wrote up that Johnny O'Callaghan story for you about him adopting that child in Africa!
Laura Sturza February 3, 2013 at 07:45 pm
Hello Patch Readers, Just an update. We didn't advance to the next round, which was admittedly, aRead More little disappointing. It was very fun to write the story with Tom, and, there was some hope that we might win. But my sister provided great perspective when she reminded me that the Plenty of Fish dating site had already given me exactly what I wanted -- Tom. Thanks again for your support, and to those still looking for your other person, wishing you as much ease as possible, and joy, as you navigate your search. Best, Laura
Laura Sturza January 25, 2013 at 03:43 pm
Thanks so much Miki! We hope to announce that we've made it to the next round. Thanks to everyoneRead More for your support.

Er...that's not porn legend Veronica Hart. That's porn legend Nina Hartley. Big difference, and sortRead More of disrespectful to this extraordinary woman.

Yes, lots of interesting information and history was given in all his shows. I always wonderedRead More why he did not make a map app showing all the locations he visited? There is only the embedded Google point map on the Cal Gold site. Maybe Chapman University students will make a cool app with ALL the locations he stopped at. With current related history/travel links, geocaching to spots he visited, proximity alarms, blog trip notes from others, and other travel features. I would buy it. Would not be that hard to create.

Actually, it turns out that we compared notes and we met in the 1980s at a series of parties of pastRead More stars that Donald O'Connor held around his birthday for years, and came up with some photos of us talking together with my friend Marsha Hunt at those gatherings at a house in Sunland. So, thanks for re-introducing us, but turns out we knew each other back when BOTH of us lived in Studio City.
Miki Henderson January 8, 2013 at 05:52 pm
I was one of the people who got her autograph at the Aroma's front table. I think you may hve beenRead More there, Mike!!!! I will always treasure my talks with Gloria. She was very classy.
Dave Gray January 8, 2013 at 05:50 pm
This was the nicest tribute to Gloria I've seen. You didn't put that I introduced you two at theRead More Studio, but whatever. I'll write my own tribute.
