I am a mother of two teenage boys and have lived in San Marino since 1999.  I studied Psychology at UC Irvine and completed my early childhood education degree at PCC. I have worked at numerous preschools ranging in philosophy from Montessori to Reggio to Academic to Developmental.  My experience as a Nursery School Director has served me well, I am a proponent of the developmental approach to early childhood with the desire to help parents become more effective and to learn how to set limits, hence our parenting classes. 
I have been active in the San Marino schools PTA ranging from being a room rep, to coordinating the Art Night and Science Fair to doing the Valentine School Parent Party twice.  I have been actively involved with cub scouts and currently as Boy Scout Troop 359.  I consider myself as an educator, leader and connector.  Currently, I am launching two businesses: Our Parenting Place - which calls to my passion to provide a service to the community.  I have also launched a food production business - bringing to the market a Persian condiment, called Torshi.  Tired of Ketchup or BBQ Sauce?  Try Torshi.  Look for our table at the Xmas Around the Drive and you might get to try a sample of my condiment.  Gilda Moshir Founder of Kolook, LLC Co-Founder of Our Parenting Place
